A sunny April day in Vienna, a beautiful new ship and cheerful, enthusiastic guests! What more could you ask for?!
Many of the guests were flown out to Vienna to attend the official christening party for the MS Robert Burns.
It was a festive occasion during which the appetizers and drinks kept flowing. After the mayor of Vienna’s speech, the launch was sealed with a traditional champagne bottle that was smashed against the bow.
The guests included CEO Riviera Travel David Clemson, Vice President Riviera River Cruises Jana Tvedt, Godmother Gloria Bohan founder of Omega World Travel, CEO Scylla Arno Reitsma and several American Travel Agents.
The Robert Burns will carry 167 passengers on the most popular waterways in Europe: the Rhine, Main and Donau. She is the fourth sister ship in a line of 6 ships built for Riviera Travel.
